Language of Love

For the young generation of techies, love and affection are best expressed on Valentine’s Day in acronyms and emoticons, so it is a case of “I Love You So Much” (ILYSM) and then signed off with hugs and kisses (XOXO). Also commonly used is ♥,which symbolises love.

The Shakespeare of yore with lines such as “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate” are no longer in vogue, apparently. However, i would once again revive this beautiful poem in this great event of the year and wish everyone a happy and lovely Valentine's day. May love fiils the air..XD

Sonnet #18

by William Shakespeare (1564-1616)

Shall i compare thee to a summer's day?

Thou are more lovely and more temperate.

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer's lease hath all too short a date.

Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,

And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance of nature's changing course untrimm'd;

But thy eternal summer shall not fade

Nor lose posseion of that fair thou ow'st;

Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,

When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st;

So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
